1-Year Limited Warranty

01 What the 1-Year Limited Warranty Covers

ProSteel Equipment warrants to the original purchaser that the structural metal fabrication of a covered ProSteel Equipment product will be free from defects in material and workmanship for one year from the original purchase date, provided the product is installed, operated, maintained, and used only for its intended purpose and within its stated capacity or design limits.

Coverage is limited to defects attributable to ProSteel Equipment manufacturing. Examples may include a verified failure of a ProSteel-fabricated structural member or weld under normal intended use, where the failure was not caused by an excluded condition listed below.

02 Conditions Required for Warranty Coverage

• The product must be used only for the application for which it was designed, sold, or approved by Prosteel Equipment.
• Loads, capacities, environmental limits, and operating conditions must not exceed published specifications, drawings, labels, quotations, manuals, or written Prosteel instructions.
• Installation and anchoring must be completed correctly and in accordance with applicable instructions, codes, and accepted industry practice.
• The product must receive reasonable inspection, cleaning, maintenance, tightening, lubrication, touch-up, and corrosion-prevention care where applicable.
• The product must not be altered, drilled, cut, welded, repaired, modified, relocated, or combined with incompatible components in a manner that affects performance, unless approved in writing by Prosteel Equipment.
• The claimant must be the original purchaser and provide reasonable proof of purchase and product identification.

03 What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover damage, deterioration, failure, or cost arising from any of the following:

• Misuse, abuse, negligence, vandalism, accident, collision, impact, fire, flood, theft, or other external causes.
• Use outside the product's intended purpose, excessive loading, improper loading, shock loading, or use beyond rated capacity.
• Improper installation, anchoring, assembly, relocation, storage, maintenance, repair, or service performed by others.
• Unauthorized modifications, field welding, cutting, drilling, alterations, substitutions, or use of non-approved accessories or components.
• Normal wear and tear, cosmetic changes, scratches, dents, fading, staining, discoloration, surface marks, or appearance changes that do not impair structural function.
• Rust, oxidation, corrosion, galvanic corrosion, chemical attack, road salt, de-icing chemicals, fertilizers, acids, cleaners, coastal/salt-air exposure, standing water, condensation, or other environmental exposure unless the product was specifically supplied and documented for those conditions.
• Powder coating, paint, plating, galvanizing, decorative finishes, labels, graphics, or other surface finishes, except to the extent a separate written finish warranty is expressly provided by Prosteel Equipment.
• Consumable, replaceable, movable, or wear components such as locks, latches, hinges, handles, casters, wheels, bearings, gas springs, seals, fasteners, electrical components, or third-party components, unless expressly covered in product-specific written warranty terms.
• Damage caused by transportation, handling, forklifts, vehicles, building movement, settlement, vibration, or site conditions after delivery.
• Products purchased used, resold, auctioned, transferred, or otherwise acquired by anyone other than the original purchaser.

04 ProSteel Equipment's Obligation - Exclusive Remedy

If ProSteel Equipment determines that a covered defect exists, ProSteel Equipment may, at its sole option: (a) repair the defective portion; (b) replace the defective component or product with the same or a functionally equivalent item; or (c) provide another remedy that ProSteel Equipment considers commercially reasonable.

Replacement parts or products may differ in appearance, finish, dimensions, or design where the original item is no longer available, provided the replacement is reasonably suitable for the intended function.

Warranty service does not restart or extend the original one-year warranty period. Any repaired or replacement item remains covered only for the remainder of the warranty applicable to the original product.

05 Costs Not Included

Unless Prosteel Equipment agrees otherwise in writing, this warranty does not include labour or costs for removal, dismantling, site access, equipment rental, cranes, lifts, excavation, concrete work, electrical work, reinstallation, refinishing, loss of production, travel, expedited service, freight, shipping, packaging, customs, brokerage, transportation to or from the Prosteel Equipment factory, or other related costs. All such costs remain the responsibility of the claimant unless Prosteel Equipment expressly agrees otherwise in writing.

06 Warranty Claim Procedure

To request warranty review, the original purchaser must contact Prosteel Equipment promptly after discovering the suspected defect. For a warranty claim to be inspected or serviced, the claimant must bring or deliver the product to the Prosteel Equipment factory at the claimant's cost, unless Prosteel Equipment agrees otherwise in writing. Prosteel Equipment is not responsible for pickup, removal, on-site inspection, or transportation. The claimant must provide:

• Customer/company name and original order, invoice, or purchase reference.
• Product name, model, serial number, drawing number, or other available identification.
• Clear photographs and, where useful, video showing the condition and surrounding installation.
• A description of the product's use, installation, loading, environment, maintenance history, and when the issue was first noticed.
• Any other information reasonably requested by Prosteel Equipment to evaluate the claim.

No repair, replacement, return, credit, or other warranty remedy is authorized until Prosteel Equipment has reviewed the claim and issued written approval or instructions.

07 Inspection and Determination

Prosteel Equipment may request photographs, measurements, samples, or other information before factory inspection. Prosteel Equipment will determine whether the condition is a covered manufacturing defect or an excluded condition. If the claim is not covered, reasonable inspection or service charges may apply where permitted by law and disclosed in advance.

08 Transferability

This 1-Year Limited Warranty is provided only to the original purchaser and is not transferable to a subsequent owner, purchaser, tenant, operator, or user unless ProSteel Equipment expressly agrees otherwise in writing.

09 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Prosteel Equipment's responsibility is limited to the remedies described above. Prosteel Equipment is not liable under this warranty for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential losses, including loss of use, revenue, profit, downtime, replacement rental, business interruption, or damage to other property.

In no event will the value of a warranty remedy exceed the original purchase price paid to Prosteel Equipment for the specific product giving rise to the claim, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

10 Other Terms

These are the written 1-Year Limited Warranty terms for covered ProSteel Equipment products unless product-specific written terms issued by ProSteel Equipment state otherwise. Product-specific written terms control if they conflict with this document.

No distributor, installer, employee, sales representative, or other person may expand or modify this warranty unless authorized by ProSteel Equipment in writing.

This warranty remains subject to mandatory rights under applicable law. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
